Macy’s Flower Show: Once Upon a Springtime

For over 65 years Macy’s Flower Show has been a much-anticipated springtime event. The two-week extravaganza, initially launched in 1946, brings a fresh spring feeling, with the colors and smells of a perfect flower garden right inside the store.  This year, following the theme “Once Upon a Springtime” Macy’s stores in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco presented lush, gorgeous gardens showcasing a vast variety of flora and fauna. Ferrari Color was pleased to produce vibrant, whimsical graphics to highlight the grandeur of the Flower Show.

The Macy’s store windows are a huge piece of graphic real estate and perfect to advertise the Flower Show – plus it is a major showstopper in Union Square.

Here are a few of the projects we printed for Macy’s:

The gorgeous and massive (72” x 48”) butterfly wall was created using 21 different pieces. The butterfly prints were produced on a photo matte paper and mounted to 1/2″ gatorboard panels for extra stability.

These stunning nature prints were produced on 4mil repositionable vinyl which is easy to remove, has an opaque backer and won’t leave any residue when the graphics are taken down.

Storybook-themed wall graphics added to the atmosphere of the event and were printed both single and double sided on clear vinyl.

Floor graphics were another addition to the show, with themes representing the different seasons. These durable graphics were produced from a floor vinyl with laminate to protect the images from the thousands of shoppers visiting the event.

The Macy’s Flower Show was beautiful, and we were happy to help bring the show to life. Do you have a big (or small) event coming up? We’d love to be part of it, email us today to get started.
