The tradition we have come to know, and love continues with the reveal of Grand America’s Holiday Window Stroll. 14 windows display this
year’s theme, “Grand Winter,” and each window highlights a different Christmas character. Visitors can see Jack Frost, Rudolph, the Grinch, Jolly St. Nicholas and more beloved holiday favorites.
Local artist Jonnie Hartman and her team conceptualized new and creative ideas using many different mediums. A perfect material to highlight her windows was our 3M 3552 with Lustre Lam because of its ability to not show a lot of glare.
Hartman and her team used many flat paper elements and shaped them into 3D structures, using different colors and textures to achieve a truly unique look. The character Jack Frost is surrounded by 150 hand-painted individual shards of ice, a dimensional display that captures his winter wonderland home.
The window displays featured a variety of materials, such as Window Decco, 13 oz Banner Vinyl, and GatorFoam. Jonnie and her team also incorporated Poplin fabric and Sintra, which was printed directly to the surface. Hartman and her team finished off the displays with glitter, strings and ribbon.
Ferrari Color is thrilled to be a part of this holiday tradition at the Grand America Hotel. Be sure to visit the displays and see your favorite Christmas characters in their “Grand Winter” scenes.
