Large Format Displays for Museums

Museums invest considerable time planning and assembling displays and exhibits in bringing history to life! Our Salt Lake headquarters is located near a great planetarium and a number of top-notch museums. They have called on us to help add vibrant, fun graphics to their walls and windows. Ferrari Color is often engaged to create specialty approaches such as rotating exhibits and unique decorative elements. Many times we have helped showcase their amazing donors as well. Below are some recent projects:

Clark Planetarium Donor Wall

This nearly 10-foot wall mural, used contour-cut, brushed silver Dibond.

It was direct-to-surface printed and mounted to 13mm Sintra to add dimension to the pieces.

Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum

It is a privilege to print the graphics and signs for the Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum.  They have been selecting Ferrari Color for over a decade. This is the museum’s Giving Garden Donor Wall-it is made up of laser cut 1/2″ acrylic plaques for the flowers, leaves, and honeycombs. Each piece was individually mounted to the wall to create this fun mural that always catches attention.

The above picture showcases the use of backlit trans used in window displays.

The following picture displays contour-cut Gatorboard and Sintra hanging signs.

Natural History Museum of Utah Theatre Prop

This fun museum prop was contour-cut from e-panel with direct to surface printing and is now the star of the show at the Natural History Museum of Utah.
