Printing with UV Ink
A major part of Ferrari Color’s Environmental Initiative was the installation of a suite of UV Ink printers in the spring of 2007.
Ferrari Color now houses four UV Ink printers including the Durst 351R, 160R, 800, and Pictor. Using these printers is a more conscientious way to print large-format prints for a number of reasons:
- UV inks release almost zero VOC’s (Volitile Organic Compounds) into the atmosphere. This creates a safer workplace for our employees as well as a healthier global environment.
- The Durst printers are some of the highest-quality printers on the market today. Their consistency in color and tone allows for less waste and better use of material.
- The Durst printers have the capability of printing on a wide range of materials including a number of “green” materials that keep our environment in mind. See our Products page for more information on ‘CHOICES’, our line of environmental product options.
