Tips & Information: Acceptable File Formats

Below are a few file set-up guidelines to help process your files through production in a timely and accurate manner. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your Account Manager!

ACCEPTABLE FORMATS

File type must be on the list or have pre-approval before it will be produced.

FILE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Required

  • File type must be an approved format.
  • All resource files must be provided (linked images & fonts, if applicable).

Preferred

  • If using Illustrator, convert text to outlines unless type changes are required.
  • If using Quark, PDFs are preferred if content changes/color matching are not required.
  • If using FPOs (low resolution placeholders) they should be linked to the high resolution images before submitting.
  • PDFs should not be submitted if you require content changes or color matching.
  • If using raster elements, follow the raster image guidelines below.

Raster Image Guidelines

  • Please follow the resolution chart below for the best results. These resolution guidelines assume that the raster graphic is sized at the exact output dimensions with no compression or up-sampling.
  • File type should be an approved format.
